Orange Tree Samples – Evolution Hollowbody Blues Torrent: Overview
Evolution Hollowbody Blues was developed by Orange Tree Samples in partnership with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most respected studios. Engineer Guy Randle used Neotek consoles, tube preamps, and vintage compressors to capture the tonal richness of the semi-hollow guitar. Guitarist Rich Dixon, awarded and internationally recognized, was responsible for the recorded performances, ensuring authenticity and musicality in every note.
The library contains about 13.4 GB of 24-bit samples, compressed to approximately 4.5 GB in NCW format. Separate signals from the bridge and neck pickups were recorded, allowing the user to adjust the mix according to preference. In addition, Evolution Hollowbody Blues includes multiple round-robins in both picking directions and three dynamic layers, offering a wide range of expression.
Realism and sound quality Orange Tree Samples – Evolution Hollowbody Blues Torrent
The great advantage of Evolution Hollowbody Blues is its fidelity to the classic tone of semi-acoustic guitars. Every detail was captured: pick attack, string resonance, and even the natural noises of the instrument. Articulations include sustains, palm mutes, natural harmonics, slides, hammer-ons, and pull-offs. Effects such as string slaps, divebombs, and fret noises were also recorded, adding realism to performances.
The Evolution engine offers advanced features such as automatic chord detection and a strumming pattern editor. This allows realistic accompaniments to be created effortlessly, whether in traditional blues, jazz, or even modern productions. The library also includes idiomatic riffs ready for use, which can be easily integrated into mixes.
Versatility and creative control
Evolution Hollowbody Blues is not limited to reproducing basic tones. It offers a powerful mapping system that allows configuring how each articulation will be triggered, using conditions such as velocity ranges, MIDI CCs, and key switches. This flexibility ensures that the instrument adapts both to live performances and studio productions.
Another notable feature is the pick position control, based on proprietary physical modeling. This makes it possible to adjust the tone according to the position where the “virtual” pick strikes the strings, simulating real guitar techniques. In addition, the plugin supports multitracking, allowing up to four simultaneous layers to create dense and rich arrangements.
Integration and modern workflow
Compatible with the free Kontakt Player, Evolution Hollowbody Blues can be used in any modern DAW such as Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools. Its graphical interface follows the Evolution series standard, making navigation intuitive for those already using other Orange Tree Samples instruments. Factory presets provide ready-to-use tones, facilitating immediate insertion into mixes.
CPU consumption is optimized, allowing the instrument to be used in complex projects without compromising performance. In addition, the library includes humanization features such as automatic round-robin variation and micro-timing adjustments, which make performances more natural. In summary, Evolution Hollowbody Blues is more than just a sample: it is a creative platform that combines acoustic tradition and digital innovation, ideal for musicians, producers, and composers seeking realism and versatility.
