The Ample China Guqin (ACGQ), developed by Ample Sound, is a virtual library that seeks to capture the essence of the guqin, a traditional Chinese seven-string instrument with more than three thousand years of history. The digital version created by Ample Sound was recorded on a Shennong-style guqin, with approximately 12 GB of samples. Each string was recorded individually, ensuring realism and authenticity. The instrument includes three groups of articulations (Head, Body, and Auxiliary), totaling 17 variations, as well as sound effects and improvised phrases.
