Field was created from an extensive exploration of electronic and electromagnetic signals captured with geophones, Soma Ether receivers, contact microphones, old telephones, and other unusual methods. The result is a collection of raw sound materials, shaped by interference, radiation, artifacts, and uncommon waveforms. These sounds were carefully selected and transformed into a playable library, offering the user a distinct and experimental sound palette.
At the core of Field is a three-layer engine, allowing the combination and balance of different sound sources. Each layer can be adjusted in pitch, octave, and volume, opening space to create from subtle tensions to dense and electric textures. In addition, there are extra controls such as distortion, bitcrushing, filters, reverbs, and envelopes, which allow refining the timbres without losing the original character of the recordings.
